Överturingen Wind Farm (Cloud) is located in Central Sweden, situated halfway between the cities of Sundsvall and Östersund. The scope of the project consists of a total of 56 4.2MW DD wind turbines.

EIRTECK is currently assisting Global Wind Service (GWS) who are the main sub-Contractor to Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy (SGRE) on the last stage of the project with the Electrical Installation of 3 turbines. The works include the installation of all LV Electrical systems within the tower, HV cable installation, tower testing and pre-commissioning.

With a tip height of 220 meters the turbines will be amongst of the tallest structures in the Nordic countries, towering 30 meters higher than the highest building in Scandinavia today.

The project is scheduled for completion in August 2020. When completed Överturingen Wind Farm will produce 235MW of renewable energy.
